Nederlands: De voetring wordt gebruikt om mensen in het dorp gevangen te zetten. Meestal worden dit type voetringen gebruikt om ze een nacht vast te houden. De gevangene kon hiermee alleen schuifelend vooruitkomen. Indien de banden eenmaal om de voeten waren bevestigd kon slechts de smid ze weer losmaken.

English: The foot ring is used to imprison people in the village. Usually this type of foot rings are used to keep them on overnight. The prisoner could only advance by shuffling. Once the straps were fastened around the feet, only the blacksmith could loosen them.
