Welcome month of Ayyar (May) the second month in the Babylonian Calendar and the fifth month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars. Ayyar is a month of spring in the Northern Hemisphere where Mesopotamia (modern day Iraq) is located. It is also the month of Prosperity and the Chaldean National Flag on May 17.
Our ancestors the proto-Kaldi “the indigenous people of Mesopotamia” called it in Akkadian Araḫ Ayyāru, while in Sumerian it is (ITI.GUD). In this month of prosperity we would like to wish all Chaldeans, friends, and all righteous Iraqis all over the world a good health, happiness, and joyful life.
