مرحباً بشهر سبتمبر - إيلول Welcome month of September - Elulu, is the month of acclamation, jubilation, and elation. It is also the month of Goddess Ishtar (Inanna) the goddess of Love and the lioness of the battles. Elul is the month of two special Babylonian celebrations; on September 1st (Babylon Day) taking into consideration that Babylon is considered the mother Capital of all ancient Mesopotamian States. Babylon is also known for its outstanding celebration on September 15th when all Mesopotamians used to show their love and admiration to the most sacred tree in ancient Mesopotamia the Date-palm, which its fruit played a significant role during the sacred marriage rituals Hashadu. The Date-palm tree is also the symbol of Life (Nun/Ti) and (Balāṭu/Napāšu). The name (September) in the Julian and Gregorian calendars comes from the Latin word septem, meaning “seven,” because it was the seventh month of the early Roman calendar.
