Al-Malikiyah District

Al-Malikiyah District (Arabic: منطقة المالكية‎, Kurdish: Dêrikê, Derika Hemko) is a district (mantiqah) administratively belonging to Al-Hasakah Governorate, Syria. At the 2004 Census it had a population of 191,994.[1] Its administrative centre is the city Al-Malikiyah. It is both the northernmost and easternmost district in Syria.
